Alex R. Seizew

Alex R. Seizew age 93 of Livonia passed away March 30th. He was the beloved husband of the late Nina. Father of Maria Seizew, Michael Seizew,  Nina (Robert) Galluccio and Alexandra Seizew..

Grandfather to Alexander (Elle) Seizew,  Alexis, (Michael) Pokorski, Lauren (Seth) Krauss. Brother of Michael R. And the Late Nina. 5 Great Grandchildren also survive. Visitation Monday, April 4th, From 1 until 6 pm with a 6pm Panihida  at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Cathedral 2101 Livernois Ferndale, Michigan . Visitation will continue Tuesday April 5th from 10:30 am until the time of his Funeral Service 11 am also taking place at church. Interment will take place at a later date  at the Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery in Jordanville, New York. Please share a memory , thought, or prayer with the family here at Alex's Tribute Wall.

Alex graduated from the Milwaukee school of engineering where only a few students were able to complete the program. He worked at the Ford Motor Company and was popular with his co workers and had friends on every continent . As an engineer he had over 50 patents in his name including hie design for the gyro guidance system that was used for the Apollo and Mercury space missions. He was very active in his church and served as  a church elder. In his spare time he was also an artist painting in water colors, and drawing in pencil and charcoal. He was an avid chess player, a great fan of Bridge and hockey and was a marvelous chef who loved to throw parties. Alex was energetic, kind , loyal , and he never met a stranger.
