Alice Marie Broadway of Waterford passed away peacefully on February 14, 2020 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. She was born in Pontiac Mi. on September 23, 1941 to the late Joseph and Mabel Kowaleski. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Rochester High School in 1959. Alice was the manager at Town Tub Laundry in Waterford for over 22 years.Alice could be found at Meijer every morning having coffee with friends. She enjoyed family gatherings at their property in Interlochen Mi. She also enjoyed puzzle books, gardening, cookouts by the lake and watching cardinals and butterflies. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward, and her children Sherry Broadway, Dawn Broadway, Scott Broadway and Edward Broadway Jr.. All from Waterford. Grandchildren: Andrew, Adam (Sara), and Alex Caldwell. James, Cody, and Cassidy Martin. Emma Broadway and Ayden Broadway and Daughter in law Marie Broadway. She also had two great grandchildren Grace and Matthew Caldwell who she loved dearly.Alice is also survived by her siblings Joe (Nancy),Chuck, David, Terry (Kathy) and Carole Kowaleski. Alice is survived by many nieces and nephews.She was proceeded in death by her parents Joseph and Mable, her son James Broadway and her brother Paul Kowaleski. A memorial is planned for Saturday, March 7, at 1:00 pm. It will be held at the VFW Hall in Waterford, 1690 Airport Road, Waterford, MI 48327.
