With heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of Barbara Stefanski, who left this world peacefully in her care facility on June 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on December 9, 1942, Barbara’s life was a tapestry woven with resilience, quiet strength, and deep affection for the world and those around her.
Throughout her 83 years, Barbara lived a life marked by grace, kindness, and unwavering compassion. She was someone who cared deeply and loved truly. Her warm smile, sincere conversations, and gentle spirit touched all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Barbara carried herself with dignity, finding joy in simple pleasures and creating meaningful connections with those she met. The legacy she leaves behind is one of empathy, dignity, and a steadfast commitment to kindness.
As the years unfolded, Barbara’s courage and graceful approach to life’s challenges became a source of inspiration to those around her. Even in her final days, her presence radiated serenity and love. She found comfort and care in her final residence and, in keeping with her nature, left this world gently and quietly, bringing a sense of peace to those who now carry her memory.
She leaves behind her daughter Tracy and her children Jacob (Cassie), Hope, Anthony, Landon, and Aaliyah. Her daughter-in-law Tina and her children Taylor and Thomas. Her siblings Linda Klimek and Lee Langreet. Barbara will also be remembered by her cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Barbara is welcomed into the embrace of those who passed before her; her husband Casimer, her parents Albert and Helen, her sons Scott, Mike, and Steve, her granddaughter Angelina, and her sister Fran Szliter.
To honor her remarkable life, a Memorial Visitation will take place on July 13, 2026, from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 10:00 a.m., at St Kieran Church, located at 53600 Mound Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48316. Friends and those whose lives were touched by Barbara are invited to gather together in remembrance, share cherished stories, and celebrate her enduring legacy.
Though she may no longer be by our side, Barbara Stefanski remains ever-present in the shared recollections and the gentle impact she had on so many. She will be dearly missed, remembered always for her compassion, her strength, and the warmth she brought to this world.
