Dolores J. Staten

Dolores June Montgomery-Staten was born on January 7, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH to Florence and Thomas Montgomery.  Dolores passed away at home on April 13, 2025, she entered into the presence of her lord and savior.  She was preceded in death by her six brothers and one sister.  

Dolores was a devoted sister, wife, grandmother and friend.  She loved her family deeply - her four children, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grand children as well as her many friends.  Her greatest joys in life were her faith in Jesus Christ, her family and friends, laughter, mentoring others throughout her life's journey, and sharing the love of Jesus Christ. 

Dolores loved Jesus with all of her heart and will be remembered as a faithful servant of God who reflected His love through her life and actions.  She profoundly impacted many lives and was instrumental in leading all her children to faith in Christ through her words and example. 

A memorial service will be held on May 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at: First Baptist Church of Hazel Park 23321 S. Chrysler Drive, Hazel Park, MI  48030 

Burial will take place on May 27, 2025 at:  Memorial Gardens 8580 Gallia Pike, Franklin Furnace, OH 45629
