Eleni Helen Gikas

Eleni Gikas age 83 of Pleasant Ridge passed away March 1st. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry. She was the beloved mother of Katherine (Dean) Zesses and Eva Gikas. Grandmother to Nicholas and Elena. Many niece and nephews also survive.   Eleni was happiest spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s events, gardening, cooking and baking.  Her spinach pie and baklava were her specialties.  Eleni was a long-time member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.  Visitation Sunday 2--9 PM with a Trisagion service at 7:30 PM, Instate Monday 10 AM until the time of her funeral service 11 AM , Burial Woodlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations go to the St. Nicholas Scholarship Fund.
