Evan Young

Evan Young, PE passed away October 14, 2024.  He is survived by his loving wife Erika Renee.  He is also survived by and was a proud dad to his 2 year old daughter, Avery Renee, his "little kiddo" & furbaby Junie, his "boonie G".  Also survived by his parents Rob & Melissa Young, siblings Katie (Jason) Hawil, Logan Young (Morgan Rozek), Carson Young, Johnny (Crystal) Beaver, Robert Beaver, grandparents Mike Wheeler, Pat (Al) McCrae, Trudy (Herb) Lent, parent in-laws Joe & Renee Vance.  He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues that he left a big impact on. He was preceded in death by his first furbaby-Spike Vance Young, Bernice Wheeler (Grandma Bernie), James McJunkins (Mountain Pawpaw) and paternal grandparents Larry & Gloria Young. 

Evan graduated from Wayne State University in 2018 as a Civil Engineer.  He had a career at Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) as a bridge engineer.  He was a proud owner of Erie Engineering & Inspection (EEI) and he had goals of expanding to all states and eventually to become an underwater bridge inspector.  

He loved spending time with his family and traveling to see new places, taking Avery to "hop hop", the great outdoors: boating, scuba diving, hunting, dirt biking, boxing with his wife & in-laws, weightlifting with his dad, uncle & brothers, football-especially U of M football, fast cars - especially his beloved CTSV and the Woodward Dream Cruise.  He was always up for a competition.

He never worried about a thing and was full of life.  He was kind, caring and generous.

Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Ascend Church, 3153 Rochester Road, Troy, MI 48083.

Memorial Gathering:  11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Memorial Service: 1 p.m.
