Fred Reed

Fred C. Reed, age 68 of Ferndale, passed away on July 27, 2022. Fred was born on January 11, 1954 in Ferndale to Fred J. and Nettie (Ryan) Reed. A lifelong resident of Ferndale, Fred worked at Landis Manufacturing and at the Zion Lutheran Church in Ferndale for many years. Fred loved cooking – especially for others, he had a big heart and enjoyed helping others, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include nephews Robert Kendall and Dave (Barb) Kendall of Bryan, Ohio, Ron Kendall of Muskegon, MI, Rick Kendall of Kingsley, MI, John Kendall, Steve Kendall, Larry Kendall, and Rich (Denise) Schroeder of Mancelona, MI. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sister; Edith Schroeder, and nephews; Don Kendall and Glen Kendall. Services will be held on Saturday, September 17th at the Zion Lutheran Church at 143 Albany, Ferndale, MI. Memorials for Fred are to be at the donor’s choice.
