George Nicholas Dakas

George Nikolas Dakas Born in Kyparissia, Greece to the parents of Nikolas George and Aspasia Dakas. Survived by his children: Nikolas George Dakas and Gabriela Dakas, his mother Aspasia, and brother, John Dakas.  George came to Ferndale, Michigan as a teenager in 1976. He started working as a Model Maker & CNC Operator for Christy Industries; later a Prototype Engineer at General Motors in Wixom, MI.  Growing up he was energetic and ready to meet new people. He could walk into any room and easily make friends with anyone. An ability he carried until the end of his life. George loved to be with his children and made it clear to everyone how proud he was of them. He was an extremely positive person. Even when battling Multiple Sclerosis, which he was diagnosed with in 1993, he never let it take a toll on his positive outlook on life.  Visitation is Wednesday 3-9 pm with a trisagion service at 7pm... Additional visitation Thursday 9 am with a funeral service at 10 am.
