In Loving Memory of John Morris
It is with heavy hearts and a mix of laughter and tears that we bid farewell to John, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and a master of comedy. John's life was a testament to the power of humor in brightening the world around us, and his memory will continue to bring smiles to our faces for generations to come.
John was born on August 18, 1945, and passed away on October 10, 2023, surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy of 33 years, daughters, Anna (Mark) Hoensheid, Molly (Tim) Robb and son Bob (Chris) Robinson and 4 amazing grandchildren: Luke and Kailey Hoensheid, Payton Robinson, and Chloe Robb.
He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri; graduating from Ritenour High School and then from the University of Missouri (Go Mizzou). He was an active member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity where he had great memories and stories of his beloved fraternity house where he was famously known as “IRON.” He cherished this brotherhood until the day he passed.
John worked at Maritz Corporation for more than 30 years as a Business Development Executive, transferring to Michigan in 1984. His job allowed him to travel around the world, which he loved. After retiring in 2000, John and Nancy became snowbirds and enjoyed winters in Florida and summers in Michigan.
John's journey may have come to an end, but his laughter will echo in our hearts forever. We say goodbye to a man who taught us that sometimes, a little bit of silliness and a hearty laugh are the greatest gifts one can give. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
