Joseph T. Brownell

Joseph Tesdahl Brownell, age 83, passed away peacefully February 19, 2023.  He was born December 24, 1939 in Algona, Iowa to Roy and Alma Brownell.  He married his high school friend and love, Barbara Jean (Winters) Brownell, in June of 1962.

Joseph was a hard-working provider for his family.  He spent his early years with the A&P Grocery stores and later was a foreman in a local tool and die shop.

Joseph is survived by his son and his wife Steven and Roslyn Brownell; his two daughters and their husbands Cynthia and Adam Simnowitz, Joanna and Vinny Palazzolo; 6 grandchildren. 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  All of these he loved dearly.  Visitation is Saturday 11am until the time of his funeral service 1 pm at Wessels & Wilk Funeral Home 23690 Woodward  Ave Pleasant Ridge. Burial Roseland Park Cemetery.
