Lawrence "Jay" Hansen B. May 01, 1942 D. October 22, 2019 Jay will be sadly missed by his wife Susan Marie Hansen, his daughter Heather Wenonah Klein (Ron) son, Kurt Damien Hansen (Laura), daughter Adrienne Evonne Fraleigh (Stephen), daughter Elizabeth Michelle Montgomery, nephew Matthew James Bellehumeur (Rachel), niece Krystle Laura Clear. Grandchildren: Michelle Victoria Brown (Logan), Bree Jaylene Morris (Travis), Thomas Edward Hansen (Taylor), Coy Gary Lawrence Magee, Lauren Marie Morris, Lauren Randal Klein (Kyle), Jakob Carter Hansen (Chelsea), Travis Gene Magee (Jolene), Matthew Robert Morris, Savannah Amanda Fraleigh, Claire Elaine Fraleigh, Madison Elizabeth Montgomery, Jacob Perry Montgomery. Jay was preceded in death by his parents: Helen Sylvia Hansen and Lawrence (Larry) Hansen and his beloved sister Nancy Laura Holcomb. Jay is the proud Great-Grandfather of Landon Wright Viau, Lily Leigh Brown, Jackson Kyle Spann, Olivia Wyatt Viau, Brendon Charles Magee, Oliver Carter Hansen, Damien Thomas Hansen and, Rylie-Anne Wenonah Holder. Born at Florence Crittenton Hospital in Detroit, Mi., Jay graduated from St. Gregory High School in Detroit Michigan with honors, he was president of his class, captain of the football team, and he received a full ride Evans Scholars scholarship to Michigan State University. Jay was a successful executive insurance underwriter for corporate level brokerages. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and craftsman who loved spending time in the woods and on the waters in the state of Michigan, spending time with his family and telling stories.
