Leonardeen Atkinson age 76 of Madison Hgts. Passed away Jan. 7th . She is survived by her children ; Tamee (Dennis Schultz) Atkinson, Jeff Atkinson, David (Michelle) Atkinson, and Jason (Amy) Atkinson. Sister; Catherine Bruveris. 8 Grandchildren also Survive. She sacrificed her career and life to raise the four of us. As we got older and had kids of our own that became her life along with us. The only thing she ever really desired was to be around her kids and grandkids. She did like to travel and loved to play slots in Vegas when she had a chance to go there. She loved animals and always had a dog or a cat in the house even when it was nearly impossible for her to take care of. Lastly, late in life she found social media and liked to reach out to friends and family on Facebook.Leonardeen was a very religious and a spiritual woman. We were raised catholic and my mom trusted and believed in her savior Jesus Christ. Whenever any of us fell on hard times or had a hard day she would recite something from the Bible, tell us to pray or tell us God had a plan.
