Michael Alderique Maurice

​Michael Alderique Maurice of Grosse Pointe passed away of COVID on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 69.

Michael was born in Detroit and was a proud alumnus of Austin Catholic High School.  After some years pursuing his acting/singing career in New York and the National Tour of Grease, Michael made his way back to Michigan.  While he  was a builder in order to make a living, he made a life and a legacy as an actor/singer/acting coach.  His eyes lit up when he pursued that role. He developed his own acting method which he shared freely with many in the area.  His favorite "role", though, was that of Christian family man and he devoted himself to it. 

He was the cherished husband of Maureen and loving dad to his two children, Andrew and Emma.  He also loved his son Christian from a former marriage with whom he had not had contact for years. 

Michael loved golfing, classic cars and movies, The History and Smithsonian Channels, many kinds of music and much more. 

He was taken too soon but his love and devotion will be remembered forever.
