Richard Lowe Stedman

 Richard Stedman, age 72 passed away on October 29, 2023. Richard was born in Detroit, Michigan, the 2nd of 3 sons born to James and Joy Stedman. He was a graduate of Southfield Lathrup High School and attended Ferris State University. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged, later working in the field of security for the majority of his working years. He was married briefly to Linda Pavia and had one daughter. Rick loved to be out in nature and spent a great deal of time hiking and bicycling in the state and national parks. He enjoyed nature photography and had a natural talent for it. He enjoyed music and was part of a rock band during the 1960’s., during which time he sang and played guitar. He held an interest in technology and was always interested in the latest scientific advancements. Rick is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Eric), Granddaughters, Samantha, and Olivia, his brothers James (Janice) and David( Susan) along with nephews, nieces, and great nephews, and great nieces. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten, holding a special place in each of our memories. A private remembrance will held by his immediate family in honor of his wishes.
