It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rick Dubay, age 71, who left us on September 8, 2025. Born on May 18, 1954, Rick was a beloved father, grandfather and friend whose passion for life touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Known for his quick wit and wicked sense of humor, Rick had a unique talent for bringing laughter into any situation. His playful banter and clever jokes could brighten even the darkest of days. His laughter was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him.
A jack of all trades, Rick was known for his remarkable ability to fix things. Whether it was a car in need of repair, or a household item that needed attention, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. His friends and family relied on his skills, knowing that Rick could tackle any challenge with confidence and creativity. His resourcefulness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character.
Rick had an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He found joy in a good cup of coffee and cigarette connecting with those around him. His love for coffee was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for sharing stories and laughter with friends and family.
Rick had a lifelong love of working on cars and riding motorcycles. Everyone who knew him relied on his ability to help with just about anything and he took great pride in sharing his talent. To blow off steam, he enjoyed popping wheelies down the street on his motorcycle.
Rick is survived by his children Jason (Nicole) Ramsey and Heather Hirsch; his grandchildren Zachary, Hannah, Tristen, Shelby, Jonathan, Haylee, and Felicity; his brother Edward G. Dubay and the mother of his children Cynthia Dubay who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Rick was preceded by death by his parents Earl and Marguerite Dubay, his son Errick (Cody) Dubay, and his siblings Judith Atwood and Gary Dubay.
A celebration of Ricks life will be held on Saturday, September 13th, from 2:00 – 8:00 PM with a Service beginning at 7:00 PM
