Thomas Anthony Paré

Thomas A. Paré, age 62, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021.Tom was predeceased by his father, Clayton J. Paré (Margaret), mother Ellen Marie [nee, Hucker] (Ted) Gifford (all originally from Windsor, Ontario.Tom is survived by sisters, Carol Carter, Sharon Paré, Judith Polzin, Pamela (Jerry) Anderson, brother John (Robin) Paré and brother-in-law Ted (Mary) Imielowski. Step-sister Lynda (John) Bowman, and step-brothers Chuck, Randy and Todd Gifford, plus many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins both in the US and Canada.He graduated in 1976 from Dondero High School, Royal Oak MI and SE Oakland Vocational School. He enjoyed a long successful career as a culinary professional for Dominico's Italian Restaurant, Chuck Joseph's Place for Steak, and Red Run Country Club. He retired in 2020 from E.G. Nick's Grill and Tavern, Lapeer, MI.Tom was an avid golfer, Detroit sports fan (especially the Red Wings), and enjoyed everything NASCAR.Even though he was a confirmed bachelor, he loved making children happy (especially at Halloween!).And finally, one of Tom's greatest joys in life was cooking & serving up great meals for family & friends, so we feel it's most appropriate (especially in this time of great need) to send any contributions in his memory to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Detroit, 2131 Beaufait St., Detroit, MI 48207. 866.453.2637 (www.gcfb.org).A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date when it's safe for everyone and the border between the US and Canada is re-opened.
