William “Buffalo Bill” Stewart White Sr., 70, of Ferndale, Michigan passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, William Jr. (Carissa), Brian, and Brandon; siblings, Carole (John) Kuhar, Connie Orlandini, and Tom (Vicky) White; pets, Buffy and Slick; and countless friends.
Bill was born on November 22, 1953, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest son of late Frances (Thornton) and Stewart White.
He was a successful entrepreneur and the founder of Accu-Clean, LLC where he dedicated the majority of his professional career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bill was a cherished member of the community and an active member of Ferndale Elks Lodge #1588. Managing the bar wasn’t just a task for Bill — it was a way to connect, share stories, and make others feel welcome, often turning ordinary nights into cherished memories for everyone involved. Known for his kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others, he inspired all who had the privilege of knowing him. Those who knew Bill will remember and dearly miss the joy of his laughter and his “Happy, happy, happy” birthday wishes.
He enjoyed traveling in his RV, especially to warmer climates. Every winter he migrated to Florida with his loyal companions, Buffy the cockatoo and Slick the dog. During his travels he loved to meet new people and hear their stories. Bill enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions, Michigan State Spartans, and NASCAR.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospital staff at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital for their compassionate care and support. We are deeply grateful for the exceptional kindness, skill, and dedication the doctors, nurses, and staff showed during his final days.
Additional details for a celebration of Bill’s life will be shared soon.
Though Bill is no longer with us, his legacy of kindness, community, and good cheer will remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace, and may we honor his memory by gathering, sharing, and helping others as he did so effortlessly.
